Turn off system notifications
System notifications are usually annoying and aren’t always useful, so you might want to turn some of them off. Windows 7 has a nea feature to let users to change the settings how the system notification will appear. This can be done by double clicking the Notification Area Icons in Control panel.
There you can change notifications and icons for the Action Center, Network, Volume, Windows Explorer, Media Center Tray Applet, Windows Update Automatic Updates.
